I’m a board certified Naturopathic Doctor (CONO) and Birth Doula in Ontario. I am passionate about supporting patients to uncover the root cause of their symptoms.
Hi, I’m Alexa! (she/her)
My Clinical Focus
With years of extensive training and clinical experience in hormones, PCOS, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum and digestive health, I continue to expand my knowledge in order to provide the most up-to-date treatments. My goal is to empower, educate and support patients to achieve optimal health using evidence based natural treatments.
Why I Chose to Become a Naturopathic Doctor
I always knew I was destined for a career in the medical field, but it was after a family member’s experience with a Naturopathic Doctor that I knew naturopathy was the right path for me. I was able to see firsthand that not only was it gentle and effective, but it allowed the doctor to get to know their patients on a deeper level. Being able to take time and really get to know a patient is important to me. It allows me to see the big picture and assess the relationship between individual organ systems as well as the impact of a patient’s mental-emotional health on their physical health. I work with my patients to find the underlying cause of their symptoms and gently bring them back to an optimal and balanced state.
My Education
In 2011 I graduated with distinction from the University of Guelph with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Biomedical Science. I then completed my Bachelor of Naturopathy in 2015 at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) where I spent 4 years studying how to diagnose and address the fundamental causes of disease. During my final year I completed an internship at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic and Brampton Civic Hospital Teaching Clinic, gaining 1,200 hours of valuable clinical experience.
A Little Bit About Me
Outside of practice I enjoy watching my two daughters discover the world. You may also find me practicing yoga, enjoying the outdoors or trying out a new recipe in the kitchen.
